How to Book Official Last Supper Tickets
The official Last Supper ticket is €15 through Vivaticket, released in three-month blocks at 12:00 Italian time plus a Wednesday-noon top-up. Step by step: the release calendar, the limits, the ID and 30-minute rules, and the fallbacks.
The Last Supper has exactly one official seller: the Museo del Cenacolo Vinciano (Italian Ministry of Culture) through Vivaticket. Everything else — this site included — either explains that sale or sells guided visits whose operators hold their own reservations. Here is the official route, step by step, and where it fails.
If you would rather not gamble on the release, the most-booked guided tour includes the ticket — 4.7 from 10,626 visitors, from about $86.
Step 1 — Know the price and who pays it
- €15 — adults 25 and over.
- €2 — visitors aged 18 to 25.
- Free — under 18 (a reservation is still compulsory).
- Free first Sundays of the month — booked online only, in the same scramble.
- A paid radio guide is sold with the ticket for those going in without a guide.
Step 2 — Know when the block opens
Tickets are released in three-month blocks, roughly three months ahead, at 12:00 Italian time:
| Visiting dates | Went on sale |
|---|---|
| February–April 2026 | (announced on the museum’s news page) |
| May–August 2026 | Tuesday 24 March 2026, 12:00 |
| September–December 2026 | Tuesday 23 June 2026, 12:00 |
The museum posts each date under “News & events” on its site a few weeks ahead. Set an alarm; peak-season dates go within hours, sometimes minutes.
Step 3 — Buy on Vivaticket
Create the account before release day. On the day: log in at 11:55, pick the date and slot, five tickets maximum per online order, enter the exact names of every visitor — online tickets cannot be renamed later. Pay; the ticket arrives by email.
Step 4 — Missed the block? The three official fallbacks
- Wednesday 12:00 — extra tickets for the following week, online only, five per order.
- The call centre, +39 02 92800360 — up to nine tickets per booking; sometimes has what the site does not.
- Groups of ten or more — by email, with lead time.
If none of those lands, the sold-out guide is the next read — in practice it ends with a guided tour that includes the ticket.
Step 5 — On the day: the rules that forfeit tickets
- Be at the ticket office 30 minutes before the slot and at the museum door 15 minutes before — late arrivals forfeit the ticket, no refund.
- Bring ID matching the booking name.
- Bags go in lockers (30 × 45 × 32 cm and larger sizes) before the humidity airlock.
- The visit is 15 minutes, maximum 40 people; the museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, 8:15–19:00 (last admission 18:45), closed Mondays, 1 January and 25 December.
- The museum is accessible to visitors with mobility difficulties.
Official versus tour — the honest one-liner
€15 if you win the release; roughly $70–130 with a licensed guide if you don’t. The price guide does the arithmetic and is the guided tour worth it? answers the other question. Address either way: Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie 2, Milan — metro Conciliazione (M1) or Cadorna (M1/M2).
